  First place in their division at the Northern Lights International Synchro competition on Sunday, January 24th.  Your hard work and dedication paid off.  Keep up the great work, girls!

• Mini Prowlers Synchronized Skating Team Details

  East Grand Forks: January 23^rd-24^th

  • The synchro team will compete on Sunday, January 24^th, but practice ice will likely be on the evening of Saturday, January 24^th.
  • There are NO blocks of rooms booked for EGF. However, you may want to get a room for Saturday night in case the weather is not cooperative.
  • Unless the competition is canceled due to the weather, it is required that all team members be at both the practice ice and the competition itself.

  Red River Valley (Moorhead): February 13^th and 14^th

  • Like EGF, the synchro teams will compete on Sunday. At this point we do not know whether practice ice will be Saturday night or Sunday morning.
  • Because of the distance of the competition, we are requiring all synchro skaters to spend Saturday night in the Fargo-Moorhead area.

  Synchro Attendance:

  • Unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by the coaches, all synchro practices and performances from this point through the competitive season are mandatory. At the discretion of the coaches, skaters who miss a practice and/or performance will not be allowed to compete with the team if they miss.
  • Skaters will be allowed 2 absences and 3 tardies for the entire regular/extra practice season. If a skater misses more than the allotted absentees and tardies they are subject to removal from the team.
  • If your skater will be gone from practice due to an illness please call/email the coach as soon as possible.

   

  Practice/Competition attire:

  • Skaters will wear black (yoga type) pants and white shirts.
  • Please make sure that your skaters hair is up and out of their face. No Large mittens are allowed. If your skaters would like to keep their hands warm please have them wear the black fitted gloves.
  • Practices dresses will be given out prior to competitions for the skaters to wear at their official practice.
  • Skaters will be required to wear their team uniform during the synchronized skating competition.

  Miscellaneous information:

  • We will be ordering team warm-ups from Oklee Quilting. Please refer to your order form and the companies information regarding any questions.
  • Please pay close attention to the website www.trfskating.com for up to date information.
  • I will need a copy of all new members birth certificates by December 1^st. These will stay on hand with the coaches at each competition.

  Expenses:

  • As an introductory team the club tries to keep the cost low, however there are a few expenses that you as a family will be responsible for.
  • Tights: Each skater will be required to purchase to pair of over the boot competition tights. Approximate price $20.00 per pair
  • Travel: Each family will be responsible for their own travel to and from competitions. This will include fuel, hotel, food, etc..
  • Make-up: The coaches will pick out the make-up that each skater will use during the competition season. Approximate cost $10.00
  • CD: Each skater will need to provide a CD so that they can have their own personal copy of the teams music.
